20th Anniversary of Yarn/Wire
Yarn/Wire, Ridgewood (US)
Yarn/Wire is a New York City-based chamber quartet of two pianists and two percussionists dedicated to contemporary music. Since 2005, they have supported both emerging and established composers through performances, commissions, and educational programs.
The 2025–2026 concert season coincides with Yarn/Wire’s 20th anniversary—marking two decades of commissioning, performing, and supporting contemporary music. This season celebrates the quartet’s commitment to collaboration and experimentation, featuring several performances across the U.S. and abroad. Alongside revisiting key works from past seasons, they will perform new pieces developed through the Yarn/Wire Currents initiative, as well as premieres by longtime collaborators.
In addition to live performance, Yarn/Wire relaunches the web series Feedback, offering public access to conversations with composers about the creative process behind their work.
The 2025/2026 concert series is supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
