Concert tour: «What about now?»

Ensemble Nikel is celebrating its 20th anniversary with a concert tour and is addressing the question «What about now?».

Explore, reflect, and—new—present: In keeping with the ensemble’s motto, the musicians will perform programs during their anniversary season that combine powerful works from the repertoire, including pieces by Klaus Lang, Elena Rykova, Matthew Shlomowitz & Jennifer Walshe, and new commissioned works by unique voices from the contemporary Swiss and international scene.

The program includes two world premieres of new compositions by Tobias Krebs and Clara Iannotta, as well as several first performances of works by Lisa Illean, Alex Paxton, and Christopher Trapani. The concerts will take place at various venues on the contemporary music scene in Switzerland (Basel, Bern, Lugano, Münster, Zurich) and in Europe (France, Great Britain, Portugal).
