Komponistenklasse Dresden & collective lovemusic

The focus of the Komponistenklasse Dresden is on creative exchange between young composers from Dresden and Strasbourg on topics such as language, art and culture, German-French music history and contemporary composition. As part of the project, collective lovemusic from Strasbourg will make its concert debut in the city on the Elbe. These cross-border experiences of a united Europe are reflected in the innovative works of the 8- to 26-year-olds.

Young composers from Strasbourg attend courses in Dresden and composers from Dresden are invited to workshops in Strasbourg. Joint concerts feature compositions from both partner cities, which are developed in the courses and workshops under the guidance of experienced composers. Around 20 world premieres penned by the youngest generation are presented at family concerts.
