S M O G 2025/26
S M O G, Brussels (BE)
With the support of the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, S M O G’s 2025/26 concert season includes nine events—six concerts and three workshops—featuring contemporary music. Hosted at S M O G’s venue in Brussels, the season brings together a range of established and emerging artists.
The concert series includes the NADAR Ensemble performing Fabric of Sorrow by Golnaz Shariatzadeh and Generation Kill Offspring #2 by Stefan Prins; the Maurice Quartet presenting works by Fausto Romitelli and Mauro Lanza that combine string quartet with electronics; and Hyper Duo playing music by Alex Paxton and Sarah Nemtsov. Other performances include Anthony Pateras in a solo set for piano and electronics, and the Azione Improvvisa Quartet with a program featuring works by Colin Alexander, Zeno Baldi, Gilles Grimaître & Julien Mégroz, and Mauro Lanza.
Workshops will cover topics such as sound creation using everyday materials and techniques for building and spatialising microphones, allowing participants a glimpse into the method behind the music.
