"I was very happy about the prize. Also for financial reasons - it gives me a certain security that I can live on it for a year in emergency situations, whatever I do as a composer. And when I look at the Composer Prize winners of recent years, who include some really wonderful composers, I just think it's a great honour to be one of them."
