I was in hospital in Paris for an EKG because of slight cardiac arrhythmias. Nothing serious. This was the moment I got the call. My heart rhythm became more intense and irregular, it exploded. The doctor came running and asked: ‘My God, what happened?’ - I had just found out that I would receive the Ernst von Siemens Composer's Prize. That moment is recorded, scanned in an EKG.
