Mirela Ivičević’s material is simply there. Her musical ideas need no introduction or development—they already speak for themselves. Every moment contains an entire adventure. Mirela Ivičević was awarded the Ernst von Siemens Composer Prize in 2021. The album brings together four works composed in recent years that offer a comprehensive insight into Ivičević’s body of work. Three pieces were recorded by the Vienna-based Black Page Orchestra, of which the composer is a co-founder. The program is rounded out by a recording from Luxembourg’s United Instruments of Lucilin.
