ars ad hoc Concert Series 2026-2027

ars ad hoc, the chamber music ensemble of Arte no Tempo, was created to promote contemporary music across Portugal. Its activities include both programs dedicated exclusively to contemporary repertoire and concerts that place contemporary works in dialogue with Classical and Romantic music.

Developed in collaboration with ensembles including ensemble mosaik and PHACE, this concert series brings together works from different periods and aesthetic perspectives alongside five new commissions by Portuguese composers from different generations. The programs will also feature music by composers new to the ensemble’s repertoire, including José María Sánchez-Verdú, Liza Lim, Dmitri Kourliandski, and Natacha Diels.
