Commission to Marko Nikodijević

Founded in 1971 at the Faculty of Music in Belgrade and now under the direction of Dr. Dragana Jovanović, the Female Academic Choir Collegium Musicum brings together generations of female students from the Faculty and has established a strong reputation for contemporary choral music.

For the choir’s 55th anniversary, the Belgrade Festivals Center is commissioning Salve Regina, an approximately 30-minute-long work for female choir and string ensemble by Serbian-German composer Marko Nikodijević. The work will be performed by Collegium Musicum together with the string orchestra Ensemble Metamorphosis, led by violist Saša Mirković, as the centerpiece of the anniversary program.
