Commission to Przemysław Scheller

For the Polish Composers’ Union, Przemysław Scheller creates the work Broadcast – an instrumental-vocal piece with live electronics using innovative compositional techniques such as instrumental resynthesis, acoustic ekphrasis, spatial sound and creative amplification. The commission to Przemysław Scheller for the Polish Composers’ Union is made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.

Broadcast is a composition for voice, percussion, accordion and live electronics in spatial arrangement. It takes its cue from Andrzej Krzanowski’s compositions, in which the composer goes beyond the usual formal framework by introducing theatrical, multimedia, autobiographical and dance elements, and even appeals to the audience’s senses of smell.
