Commissions to Chaya Czernowin, Tristan Murail & Lisa Streich

An essential aspect of the Aleph Guitar Quartet’s work is the creation of a repertoire for this unusual instrumentation. Over the last thirty years, numerous pieces by important composers have been created for this purpose. Now the repertoire is being expanded to include new compositions by Chaya Czernowin, Lisa Streich and Tristan Murail, which will be premiered at the Schleswig-Holstein Music Festival in Kiel, at the Musikprotokoll Festival in Graz and in Rockenhausen. The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is making the three commissions possible.
