Contrasti 2025

In 2025, the Contrasti Festival will present a series of public concerts and encounters under the title del teatro sonoro, all of which will feature new musical compositions and world premieres.

The focus will be on a composition master class led by Carola Bauckhol and concerts by Collettivo_21, Juliet Fraser and Hannah Weirich, Icarus vs. Muzak, and the MotoContrario ensemble. In addition, Carola Bauckholt and Kristine Tjørgersen will each give public lectures on their music.

The MotoContrario collective was founded in 2014 and brings together composers and performers. For ten years, MotoContrario has been organizing the Contrasti festival (the eleventh edition will take place in 2025), which focuses on the repertoire of the 20th century and the present day, highlights little-known literature, and creates new (net)works.

The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation is supporting the 2025 festival and the composition master class at Contrasti 2025.
