Contrasti 2026

Contrasti is a festival of concerts and cultural events dedicated to 20th-century and contemporary music, organized by MotoContrario. Its aim is to present a broad range of contemporary musical practices and to make this repertoire more accessible to audiences. Through performances, talks, and educational activities, the festival contributes to the region’s cultural programme while maintaining connections with artists and institutions at the national and international levels. The festival also includes an International Composition Masterclass, led each year by a different composer. All events are free and open to the public.

The 12th edition of Contrasti, Dello spazio sonoro, will present a series of concerts and public events focused on new music, including several world premieres. The program includes performances by the Maurice Quartet, Musikfabrik, Ensemble Nuove Musiche, and the MotoContrario Ensemble, as well as the International Composition Masterclass led by Marco Stroppa.
