Crossroads: Contemporary Music Days in Armenia returns in 2026 for its 9th edition. Curated by Quarter Tone Cultural NGO, Crossroads features both world and Armenian premieres while encouraging artistic collaboration in contemporary music.
A central highlight of this year’s edition is Dilijan Campus, a week-long residency held at the historic Dilijan Composers’ Resort. Six student composers—from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Georgia, Ukraine, and Armenia—will be commissioned in advance to create new works. Ensemble Assonance will join the residency for two intensive days of individual working sessions with each composer, providing hands-on artistic exchange and mentorship. The program also features a speed-writing course led by Aram Hovhannisyan.
Dilijan Campus will culminate in public concerts in Dilijan and Yerevan, with free admission offered to students of Armenian music schools.
The 2026 festival and composer academy are supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
