Elbphilharmonie Visions 2027

The third edition of the biennial Elbphilharmonie Visions festival will take place from January 29 to February 7, 2027. Seven concerts in the Grand Hall and two events in the Recital Hall of the Elbphilharmonie will spotlight outstanding contemporary compositions. World premieres will be featured alongside revivals of works composed in recent years.

The lineup includes orchestras from the ARD broadcasting networks as well as internationally renowned soloists and conductors. The NDR Elbphilharmonie Orchestra will perform under the baton of Alan Gilbert at the opening concert and in another concert together with the NDR Big Band. The NDR Radio Philharmonic will be joined by an avant-garde jazz band, while the Frankfurt Radio Symphony Orchestra and the WDR Symphony Orchestra will bring programs to Hamburg that they will subsequently repeat in their own concert series. And the SWR Symphony Orchestra will explore the technical capabilities of the Elbphilharmonie in a very special way for the first time with a work by Agata Zubel. On the first weekend of the festival, a large walk-through sound installation by Swiss artist Zimoun can also be experienced in the Recital Hall of the Elbphilharmonie.
