London Contemporary Music Festival 2026

The 2026 edition of the London Contemporary Music Festival, titled Hot With Excess, features more than 18 events.

The program includes several UK premieres, among them Lina Lapelytė’s Have A Good Day! and David Wojnarowicz’s ITSOFOMO, as well as new commissions, including works by Cally Spooner, Lydia Ourahmane, and Sophia Al-Maria. The LCMF Orchestra presents new works by Pat Thomas, Laura Steenberge, and Laurie Tompkins. Other highlights include Rebecca Saunders’s Us Dead Talk Love and Morton Feldman’s six-hour String Quartet No. 2.

The festival also features experimental vocal music, sound works, performance, film, and dance, as well as a 48-hour reading of Gertrude Stein’s The Making of Americans.
