MWLTH Summer Series 2026
Music We’d Like to Hear, London (UK)
Music We’d Like to Hear (MWLTH) presents a four-concert Summer 2026 series at St Mary-at-Hill, London, bringing together works of post-war experimental music and recent compositions by emerging and under-represented composers. The series opens with two performances marking the centenary of Morton Feldman, featuring For John Cage performed by Mira Benjamin and Mark Knoop, and Piano and String Quartet performed by Apartment House.
The penultimate concert presents works by Christian Wolff, James Saunders, Alison Knowles, Ryoko Akama, Gayle Young, Christoph Graupner, Travis Just, and Paul Whitty, exploring open forms, indeterminacy, and performer-led approaches to music-making. The series concludes with a concert by Plus Minus Ensemble centred on a work by Ukrainian composer Alexey Shmuruk, alongside music by Nomi Epstein, Samuel Clay Birmaher, Egidija Medeksaite, and Michael Finnissy.
This 2026 MWLTH concert series is supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
