Nash Inventions & Side by Side

Nash Concert Society Trust, London (UK)

The Nash Ensemble will present a two-part concert evening at the Wigmore Hall in London on 28 March 2023, made possible by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.

Entitled Nash Inventions, it features performances of works by five British composers: Julian Anderson, John Casken, Mark-Anthony Turnage, George Benjamin and Colin Matthews. Julian Anderson’s composition for soprano and ensemble was commissioned by the Nash Concert Society and will be premiered at Nash Inventions. Five of the six works to be performed in the concert are commissioned by the Nash Concert Society and are thus a legacy for the future.

Another highlight of the concert will be the Side by Side project, featuring the performance of commissioned works by two up-and-coming composers from the Royal Academy of Music and instrumentalists who will perform together – Side by Side – alongside Nash musicians. The compositions are the result of collaborations between students and members of Nash who teach at the Royal Academy of Music.
