To Listen To 2026

Conservatorio Statale di Musica “G. Verdi” di Torino (IT)

To Listen To is a festival dedicated to different forms and practices of listening, including immersive listening, electroacoustic music, and instrumental sound projection. Its program brings together different approaches to contemporary music, crossing generational and disciplinary boundaries while maintaining a focus on contemporary repertoire and experimentation.

The fifth edition of To Listen To considers listening as a public act. Through performances, installations, and workshops, the festival examines the shared space between performer and listener. The program develops around four areas: an ecology of attention in response to distraction; a critical approach to technology and its mechanisms; a dramaturgy of the body that considers the relationship between sound and gesture; and social inclusion understood through participation and relationships. The 2026 edition also marks the centenaries of Morton Feldman and David Tudor, placing their work alongside that of composers and artists working today.

The 2026 edition of To Listen To is supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation.
