Workshops Mixtur 2024

Mixtur is a non-profit organisation based in Barcelona whose aim is to contribute to the creation, pedagogy and promotion of contemporary music, sound art and multidisciplinary projects. Its main activity is the Mixtur festival, founded in 2012, which includes concerts, panel discussions, sound installations, conferences and workshops. It takes place in several cultural centres and auditoriums in the city.

Mixtur invites composers, improvisers, sound artists, players and dancers from all over the world and brings them together with students in workshops. The workshops are one of the main activities of the Mixtur Festival and are intended to contribute to the professionalisation of young students. Around 80-90 students from all over the world come to Barcelona for the workshops. A total of three workshops take place: for composition and sound experiments, for improvisation and for performers.

The Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation supports the workshops of the Mixtur Festival 2024.
