Congratulations to Sara Glojnarić on her two awards!

The Claudio Abbado Composition Prize will be presented to Sara Glojnarić on October 31, 2026, during the Karajan Academy concert. At the same time, her new work, *can you play a song with a f*cking beat?! :))*, will receive its world premiere.

She will also be awarded the Schneider-Schott Music Prize this year.

Since 1986, the city of Mainz has awarded this prize every two years to composers, performers, or music ensembles in the field of classical music who are both deserving of support and in need of it. The prize is endowed with EUR 15,000.

We congratulate our 2023 Composer Prize winner!!
