“The music reveals her steady hand and a contemplative mind that places every touch of colour, every contour, and every shade onto the page only after careful consideration. Like a calligrapher, she approaches everything she brings into sound with precision, calm, and presence—even in moments of the greatest fragility or restraint.“
-Leonie Reineke
Naomi Pinnock, recipient of the 2022 Ernst von Siemens Composer Prize, presents her album (it looks like someone lived there)—a compelling collection of four significant recent works. The recording brings together an exceptional group of performers: soprano Juliet Fraser, Montreal’s Quatuor Bozzini, London’s Riot Ensemble, and the Exaudi Vocal Ensemble, each contributing original recordings. The album is completed by a live performance with the WDR Sinfonieorchester Cologne.
(it looks like someone lived there) has been released on Prospero Classical.
