Only Connect Oslo

Only Connect returns to Oslo in April 2026 as part of the festival’s annual three-day programme.

The programme includes a new commission from British composer and performer Alwynne Pritchard: Unwriting: Part 2 (Declaration). Created with percussionist Owen Weaver and dancer Malin Nøss Vangsnes, the 40-minute work develops the ideas of Part 1 (Departure) through performance art, dance, ASMR-informed sound, vocal techniques, and deep-listening practices.

KORK and Poing Ensemble will present the premiere of a new piece by Jonas Skaarud, alongside works by Clara Iannotta, Barbara Monk Feldman, and Anthony Braxton.

The JACK Quartet will perform Natacha Diels’ Beautiful Trouble, integrating projections of surreal short films. The quartet will additionally return the following day to play through new student compositions under the supervision of Kristine Tjøgersen.

Supported by the Ernst von Siemens Music Foundation, Only Connect Oslo 2026 highlights current directions in experimental music and performance, with an emphasis on new work and collaboration.
